Witnessing the Unlikely Buddyship
The owner and the neighbors could just sit there as the monkey hugged the puppy close to his chest, keeping him away from the threat the monkey perceived. No sign of aggression here; instead the monkey had that sort of parental touch. The whole scene was touching and surreal, leaving everyone speechless. The owner felt both relief and amazement realizing that the puppy was safe.
This continued for a little while, so that everyone saw just how deep this affection was. The monkey acted elegantly, almost lovingly, by holding the puppy close and sometimes even feeding him.
