Protective Instincts of the Monkey
The most notable observation was when the monkey was quite protective of the puppy. If another animal or human entered too close, the monkey would block the puppy, positioning itself in between. Occasionally, it would also vocalize a warning if it felt that the puppy had gone through some distress and needed protection. This was one instinct to defend its companion that had intuitively been learned.
The owner was deeply touched and amazed by this level of protection. Never had they dreamed that a wild animal like the monkey would feel the need to protect a creature belonging to some other species.
