The Unsolved Shadow
Haunted by the vagueness of the whole story, the man went deeper into researching about the place of the photograph. He found out that the place had a history on account of too many strange incidents. Some of them were even documented on local folklore. The stories of ghostly apparitions and mysterious happenings had been in circulation for years, making their experience even more intriguing. While these were generally discredited as “urban myths,” they do leave one to wonder if there might be some degree of truth behind them.
Seeking clarity, they consulted professionals. They presented the photograph to a photographer for any technical faults or artifacts. He had assured them that the photograph had not been tampered with. The figure in the background was there when the photograph was taken. That removed all prospects of a digital glitch and fuelled their interest. Even after the technical checks, the true nature of the mystery figure remained a secret.
Unsatisfied, they sought paranormal investigators whose specialty involved other undiscovered phenomena. The investigators analyzed both the location and photograph but found no concrete evidence of any paranormal activity. They theorized that the person on the photograph might be a person walking through or an animal slightly covered by shadows.
