Return to Wonder
Renewed attention prompted the family to walk the old trail, visiting the place, decades later, where the photograph had originally been taken. This time, with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren in tow, they walked there, walking with nostalgia and reverence on the same old path. Where the site had changed through time, the mystery had not. Standing on the spot of the photo, they felt a connect not just to their lives of yesteryears but even further back into the generations that would carry on the story.
The trip sparked an idea in the family. Inspired by the shot’s long life, the family decided to start a foundation as a tribute to stories of unexplained phenomena and their cultural relevance. The foundation sought to record and celebrate such experiences, which may be rooted in science, history, or folklore. It became, much as the photograph had become within their own, a way to tell stories, to create, and to connect.
As the family grew, so did their mystery contributions from all over the world. The family got overwhelmed by this richness of stories—some mysterious, some whimsical, and others profoundly touching. Every single one of them is similar to their photograph—a reminder that the world is full of wonder yet waiting to be discovered. Now, with the photograph as a symbol, the family extended its mission into exploring and cherishing the unexplained.
