As she began to snip, the lady seemed calm, muting skeptical glances. She had always wanted to have this haircut that symbolized shedding old ideas about what a lady her age should look like. To her, every snip was breaking away from the traditional, a commitment to self-expression.
However, in the meantime, other younger clients go on whispering and casting suspicious glances at each other, asking how such a decision would pan out. They could not think beyond what they termed to be a stereotype–certain styles were meant for the youth and should not have been done otherwise. They had no idea that they were in for a wonderful transformation.
